From the video on the Lumbar Saunders Traction Unit:
"Dr. Karin explains how to use a Saunder's Lumbar Traction Unit for low back pain.
If you have low back pain, are considering an inversion table or
other home device to help, checkout the Saunder's Lumbar Traction
unit.
If you are going to take the time to stretch your back, you want
the best for your time home remedy. In my biased opinion, the
Saunder's lumbar traction is the best. For a therapeutic traction,
you need 10 minutes at least twice a day.
More than 20 minutes at a time can cause permanent elongation of
the ligaments that hold your bones together, causing more harm than
good.
Inversion tables are limited to under 10 because of the pressure it
exerts on your head from being upside down, causing blood to
uncomfortable rush into your head.
Plus inversion tables can not target the low back, and can cause
harm to other regions.
Getting out of inversion tables is also tricky if you have a bad
low back.
In this video, Dr. Karin explains how to get into the Saunders
traction unit, how to use it to stretch (and re-hydrate the discs
of) your low back, and how to safely get back into a standing
position.
As always, before you try any home remedy, talk to your healthcare
